fall Family Session at Millhollow in Vermilion, ohio

One of the greatest joys of being a photographer is watching families grow and change over the years. This fall family session holds a special place in my heart because Madyson has been in front of my camera since her senior year of high school. Seeing her step into motherhood and capturing these moments with her beautiful family has been nothing short of amazing. Moments like these remind me of why I love photography—getting to witness and document all the wonderful phases of life and creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.

We headed to Mill Hollow in Vermilion, Ohio, for this session, and it turned out to be the perfect spot. Mill Hollow is one of those hidden gems that has everything you want for fall photos—open fields, cozy wooded areas, and that rustic charm that makes every shot feel warm and welcoming. The fall colors were at their peak, and the golden light filtering through the trees added an extra touch of magic. Baby B stood for this first time unassisted at the session too!! He wanted to be Mr. Independant and how could you blame him! Can we talk about those tiny cowboy boots? Absolutely heart-melting!

One of my favorite parts of this session was capturing a mix of sweet, candid moments and those classic family shots. From holding hands and walking through the leaves to those tender moments snuggled up on a blanket, each photo is a piece of their story (like a fish hook to Evans mouth). There’s something about fall that makes family sessions feel extra cozy, and this one was no exception. The sweaters, the boots, the soft fall light—it all came together perfectly to create a session full of warmth and love.

I can’t blame it either because there’s just something so special about the colors, the crisp air, the sun that make it magical.
